📚Teacher Book Recommendations for 2020!! 👩🏫👨🏫
Like books?
Cool, ME TOO!!
I’ve got my top 7 recommendations based on the books I read last year (or “2019” as people on the street would call it). Click the video below for a video that took me way to long to make. Literally every night for a year.*
*timeframe is untrue
Each book on my list has a distinct idea or learning objective that can influence how you reach your students, staff, humans, and/or fellow baller teachers!!
Here’s the quick list for those of you that are like “I don’t want to click that and watch that video but I might buy the book or whatever.”
-
Atomic Habits - literally can change your life and what you accomplish.
-
Start with Why - why do you do what you do?
-
Move Your Bus - who are you in your organization?
-
Go See the Principal - culture first.
-
The Infinite Game - focus on the right measures.
-
Talking to Strangers - don’t believe anyone. jk. kinda.
-
Outliers - oldie but a goodie.
-
DON'T READ THIS ONE - for real. just putting it here as a joke.
That’s it.
That’s my pitch.
I hope you hit it out of the park.
Because it was a pitch.
Get it?
:)
More importantly: what books did you read this year?
Tell me on my Instagram and I’ll give away one of my recommendations to someone in the comments. Could be you. Unless you don’t comment Then it probably won’t. Unless I mess up the address.
You’’re really nice.
The end.
Jk.
Just one more thing…
FUN FACT: I’m getting the amazing opportunity of speaking at ISTE 2020 (one session on being a Baller Teacher and co-presenting with fellow ADE and phenom teacher, Lindsay Fell, on Vlogging in the Classroom).
If you have a few free seconds, and wouldn’t mind voting for me to speak at few more People’s choice sessions, I’d love to also teach on YouTube (with my son, Titus), Google, and/or Storytelling via Podcasts. A vote on those links would be splendid. It would be absolutely incredible of you. If you could go vote for them. It would be the best. The absolute best.
Seriously.
You would be my favorite person.
Ever.
Thank you so much for your time and attention.
For real. So SO cool of you.
