Last week I got the opportunity to speak with teachers at NCTIES in North Carolina (dope conference btw WOULD RECOMMEND)!
After one of the sessions, I was having a little chitty chat with a couple teachers about all this ai stuff, and a few of them where more overwhelmed than a 1973 Chevy hauling bricks.
New apps.
New extensions.
New this will change education forever talks from people in blazers (me included)
One teacher said something that stuck with me:
I don’t need another tool…I just need help.
Yes! Teachers could use their time to research a topic or build a GPT to automate or blah blah blah.
But I think most teachers care less about how shiny the new tech is, and they care more about the time they get back.
I just wanted to encourage you today, it’s okay to do what you can with the time you have. If you don't have time to learn that new program, just use a copy of somebody who did! DO YOU BOOBOO WITH WHAT YOU CAN!!
If you have time to research and learn something so you can build your own stuff, dope! Go and do that and then save yourself time in the future. Or…and hear me out…don’t!
But the one thing that I will not stand for is you feeling guilty that you don't understand all of it right away, or that you’re not using FancyPants2.0.com.org/shop on the daily.
You don't have to be perfect, you’re not Sbarro pizza in the 90s.
You are human.
You got this.

Student Reflection Journal
One of the simplest ways to improve student learning is having them reflect before leaving class (imho). Making them think about what they think they just thought about!
This template helps students answer three quick questions:
1️⃣ How do I feel today?
2️⃣ What am I thankful for?
3️⃣ What did I learn yesterday & what will I accomplish today?
It takes less than two minutes and gives you incredible insight into your students!!
Teachers tell me this one helps them instantly spot gaps before the next lesson and catch dem vibes asap rocky
